The virtual world allows you to reinvent yourself as anything you want to be.  I myself did not become "artist" until I brought my stuff into the virtual world, (before that I was merely 'hobbyist').&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;You make a good point though about folks who would transition their real life over to their virtual life - their past would definitely have to count, especially if it involves large sums of Lindens.
