  • wow thats even less than I thought...I thought it was around 15K at one stage..I interviewed a musician from Portugal yesterday on my show and he stated that there was around 30 thousand Portuguese on SL which is a very small country..
I did her a rumor once that Telstra were going to do a deal with the Lindens and put a server here. I really don't think it lagg so much...as lack of awareness and population of people who use the web and gammers ect...perhaps we as a nation don't use these things as much. There has been a bit of information and press about SL but its usually the same old same old, cyper sex ect...not a lot of intelligent well informed press about how you can use SL other than that..SL is just not on the Australian map so to speak...the aussies will be left behind as usuall with these things, the only sucessfull early adopters here in SL are Bigpond and the Virtual TV industry which we have cracked.
We have some great people in Australia using SL for educational purposes and a few very sucessfull musicians. Is there a list anywhere of Australian Buisnesses in SL? love to see it

  • I'm interested in whether 10,885 is the number of avatars or the number of unique users in the last month.

Does anyone know if Linden Labs' active 'users' numbers are achieved by recording IP addresses, as opposed to avatar 'account' log ins?
